Ways to use it
Mix 4 grams (approx. 1 heaped teaspoon) into 100 mL of whole cream milk for the added benefits of tryptophan. For a dairy-free option add to plant-based milk and enjoy hot or cold. Alternatively, add to baking, smoothies, yoghurt, porridge or ice cream.

Are the flavours natural?
Yes! We use premium plant-based flavours that are created using only natural processing methods such as heating, fermenting and pressing. There is nothing artificial in our Captain Calm.
What does it taste like?
Captain Calm tastes like a blissful bubblegum-flavoured drink that will make your kids fall in love with this purple superfood blend. We have combined premium dried fruit powders with natural plant-based flavours to deliver a unique and fun calming drink.
What is thaumatin?
For parents peace of mind, rest assured that we only use natural sweeteners across all of our products. Our Captain Calm contains thaumatin, which is sourced from the katemfe fruit, Thaumatococcus daniellii, found in the West African rainforests. Thaumatin is a very sweet protein that is extremely powerful so we only need to use tiny tiny amounts of it. Just to put it into perspective, stevia is 200 times sweeter than sucrose, while thaumatin is about 2000 times sweeter than sucrose! Mother nature is indeed super powerful.
Where is the tryptophan coming from?
Captain Calm is a product designed to be consumed with milk (cow's milk or any other milk of choice). This is because cow's milk or soy milk are natural sources of tryptophan that can enhance the calming effect of this product. When consuming Captain Calm as per package instructions, there will be naturally occurring tryptophan present in milk (either full cream cow's milk or soy milk).
